Question: Tell us more about the Series 1XS crankbait.

Davis: This little 1XS crankbait has saved the day for me in many tournaments, for instance, the B.A.S.S. tournament on the Potomac River two years ago. I had located a school of fish with Strike King's Spit-N-King. When the bass quit hitting the Spit-N-King, I started using the buzzbait, the spinner bait and the floating worm, but I couldn't get the bass to bite any of these other lures.

Mark DavisFinally, I decided to try the 1XS. Not only did I catch a lot of bass, I caught numbers of big bass, which helped me finish in the top 10. I don't know why I didn't use the 1XS earlier because the conditions were right for it. I was fishing over the top of submerged milfoil, which is the perfect cover to fish the 1XS crankbait. On that day, the Strike King 1XS not only saved the day but also saved the tournament for me.
