KVD Wins 5th Elite Series Victory, 15th BASS win of his Career

Kevin VanDam held off a tough crowd including 3 other Team Strike King members today to cap off a win on Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia. With this win KVD has scored 5 BASS Elite Series victories. KVD used a combination of lures in a sight fishing type tournament to target primarily smallmouth on the bed but also largemouth bass as well. Using a Strike King Tour Grade Shaky head jig with a Strike King 4" Finesse worm in Dirt color, KVD was able to hold off the other 11 anglers for the win.

Finishing in 4th place was Team Strike King Member Greg Hackney, 6th place was Shaw Grigsby and 7th place was James Niggemeyer. Niggemeyer who fought his way back from deep in the pack used a Rage Tail Lizard on Day 3 to catch a 7-02 Largemouth that stood as the tournaments biggest fish.
