The Rage Hawk and the Rage Luau Craw are the newest additions to the long line of Rage Tail Plastics from Strike King. Rage products are commonly identified by the patented Rage appendages found on the arms and claws of the products. Both the Rage Hawk and Rage Luau Craw build upon the traditional Rage style to push the limits of innovation and entice more bites.
Rage Hawk is 3.25” and features a super compact profile, with two Rage arms extending from the side of the bait. It is able to fit up to a 5/0 hook in its smaller body style, increasing hook up ratios and presenting fish with the perfect, snack-sized bite for finicky bass. “The Rage Hawk packs a big punch. It's an awesome option for when you're getting a lot of short strikes or just want to show them something different,” says Andy Montgomery, MLF Bass Pro Professional Angler.
Rage Luau Craw is built from the body of the most famous craw-shaped soft bait in the world – Strike King’s Rage Craw. With the addition of a soft plastic skirt to the tip of the Rage Craw, the team at Strike King successfully designed the first “luau-style” soft bait of its kind, surprising fish with something they’ve never seen before. “[Rage] Luau Craw was built to party, if you know what I mean. You can pitch it, flip it, Texas rig it... it has no limits,” says Greg Hackney, Bassmaster Elite Series Professional Angler.
Along with the introduction of Rage Hawk and Rage Luau Craw, Strike King has also released the popular Rage Scounbug in a bulkier size. “In my opinion, the Scounbug is the perfect soft plastic bait for every application… period. You can pitch it, flip it, cast it, Carolina rig it, and man is it good as a jig/swim jig trailer!” says Mark Rose.
A perfect match for any Rage Tail soft plastic, Strike King also introduces the new Tour Grade Rage Swimmin’ Head is built with an exceptional keeper to hold your soft bait in place. The lower keeper extends the weight of the jighead throughout the belly of the swimbait, allowing the bait to swim perfectly horizontal with the surface of the water. “I spend a lot of time with a swimbait in my hand – specifically a Rage Swimmer. We built this head to be the ultimate Rage Swimmer jighead,” says Tristan McCormick, Professional Angler.
